The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta arrives with a full redesign for the new model year. With the redesign, drivers can expect more room, higher levels of comfort, greater levels of connectivity, and, most importantly, more value.
Consumer Reports took a 2019 VW Jetta SEL Premium for a test drive, and the results were fantastic. The tested VW Jetta features responsive performance, a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission, and a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 147 horsepower.
The 2019 VW Jetta rolls out on the same scalable architecture as the VW Golf and VW Atlas. Using the same architecture throughout the lineup helps keep the price of new models low. As a result, drivers can expect to see more features for less money in all VW Jetta models.
Despite its categorization as a compact sedan, the 2019 VW Jetta is one of the longest in the segment, sitting at a comfortable 185 inches. The range-topping SEL Premium trim features leather upholstery while automatic climate control carries over from the SE model.
There are plenty of storage and connectivity options in the VW Jetta. A spacious bin and door pockets are capable of storing everything from tablets to umbrellas. Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ come standard for the model year. SEL and SEL Premium models see the addition of standard navigation as well.
Here at Sierra Volkswagen, we’re excited to welcome the 2019 VW Jetta and show off its fresh new features.
